Orchestral & Chamber Music
Competition.

​Young musicians from around the world can join an online global orchestra competition provided by Vienna International Cultural Platform (iKultur). Open to youth and children's orchestras, we welcome classical and modern music, offering expert feedback to school and community groups. The platform breaks down borders, letting young talents showcase their creativity and skills on a global stage.

*Piano accompaniment(optional) is not counted towards the number of performers.

Judges

Our judges are renowed musicians and experts who are active and successful in the music scene in Vienna. They are going to review your performance and give you insightful comments and advice!

Timeline

Deadline for work submission: 31 March 2026

Registration Period: 1 December 2025 to 15 March 2026 

Marking Criteria

Performance Accuracy 20%

Fidelity to the score, including rhythmic precision and ensemble alignment.

Intonation 20%

Stability and accuracy of pitch across individual parts and the ensemble as a whole.

Ensemble Technique 20%

Tone color uniformity, dynamic layering, and balance between parts.

Musicality 20%

Grasp of the composer’s stylistic era, interpretive depth, phrasing, dynamic shaping, stylistic rendering, and emotional expression.

Overall Collaboration and Stage Presence 20%

Communication rapport, stage demeanor, and leadership from conductor or section leaders.

Registration Fee

HKD1280 for group of 31-70 players
