Who are we?
As university teachers and artists active in Vienna, we never underestimate the creative potential of children! Every summer, we host the iKultLab - Innovative Music Camp in Austria, where children from Europe and Asia study, live, and unlock their potential together!
Yet, we aspire to connect with even more children worldwide. Thus, a spark of inspiration: we’re launching an ensemble competition and a creative proposal contest, with Hong Kong—a vibrant fusion of Eastern and Western cultures—as the coordinating hub. We sincerely invite you to join and showcase your musical artistry and creativity!

Artistic Research Center (ARC) of the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna
Nestled within the venerable University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW)—a global beacon for music, theatre, and film since 1817—the Artistic Research Center (ARC) stands as a vital bridge between art and science. Symbolized by its acronym as an "arc" spanning creative practice and scholarly inquiry, ARC fosters innovative projects that probe epistemological depths, from sonic knowledge production in indigenous cultures to meta-artistic explorations. Hosting symposia and doctoral programs, it ignites transformative dialogues. As an institutional member of the Society for Artistic Research, ARC ensures performing arts evolve through rigorous, practice-led inquiry.
International Cultural Platform (iKultur)
The International Cultural Platform (iKultur), based in Vienna, Austria, is a dynamic association founded in 2014 to foster global cultural exchange and artistic innovation. Collaborating with the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, it hosts programs like the iKultLab and the annual aNOtherFestival (2010–present), blending European and Asian influences through workshops, performances, and archives. Through improvisation, cross-cultural initiatives, and holistic activities, iKultur empowers young creators to break boundaries, celebrate diversity, and build lifelong memories in inspiring venues like Castle Raabs.
